The products are certified according to FSC® what allows the buyer to choose those forest products that were manufactured in strict compliance with the set standards from all the products in the market. The standards guarantee that the timber comes from a forest that is responsibly managed combining environmental protection, social welfare and a long-term economic benefit.
The trees for firewood are mostly felled in winter when timber is drier. In winter, at low temperatures, and especially when the ground is frozen, the trees evaporate their moisture and cannot absorb the new moisture from the frozen ground therefore their moisture content is significantly reduced in winter. Winter-felled timber has lower moisture content and higher density.
